About me

While I work with a diverse range of clients, I do specialize in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community. As a proud member of this community myself, I understand the unique challenges and experiences faced by those who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and beyond. I bring this personal insight and empathy to my work, and I am committed to creating a safe and affirming space for all of my LGBTQ+ clients. Overall, my approach as a psychotherapist is grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep commitment to the well-being of all of my clients, regardless of their background or identity. I believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality mental health care, and I strive to create a welcoming and inclusive space for all of my clients. In my work with all clients, I take an intersectional approach, recognizing the ways in which different aspects of identity intersect and impact mental health and well-being. I work collaboratively with my clients to address the specific concerns and goals they bring to therapy, whether related to relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, or more.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Psychodynamic therapyRecommended for those looking to explore their emotions deeply and understand how past experiences shape their present life.
Trauma Informed CareRecommended for those who have experienced trauma and need a safe, supportive space to heal at their own pace.
My work is depth-oriented, active, and transformative. Grounded in psychodynamic therapy and informed by my ongoing training in ISTDP, this is not a space for small talk or circling the surface. We do not talk about the weather. This work is focused, emotionally alive, and often intense. I actively help clients identify defenses, access core emotions, and confront long-standing relational patterns that keep them stuck. I expect curiosity, honesty, and readiness for deep exploration. The payoff is real change—greater freedom, emotional clarity, and more authentic connection with yourself and others.
