Each of us comes to therapy with a different reason, different background, and different questions. As a psychoanalytic psychotherapist I make sure to attune to your individual situation and needs. No matter what kind of questions or discomforts you have, all of them are worth it to talk about, and I am going to be a careful listener for whichever concern you will bring into the session. Importantly, psychoanalytic psychotherapy does not just explore rational thinking and evident feelings, but goes much deeper, inviting you, step by step, to also explore the unconscious drivers of your behaviour or struggles. I know, this might all sound a bit abstract, but don’t worry: we will simply start in the “here and now”, working first on what comes up as a pressing issue in your life, and will then slowly explore also the “there and then”, at your own pace and always attuning our path to your specific situation. Given the nature of psychoanalytic psychotherapy, I tend to do mostly long term therapy, but I also have extensive experience with short term therapy and parental consultation. During our first meeting, we will see together what suits you most.
