About me

Welcome! I’m Dr. Anca Stefania Ionescu, a licensed clinical neuropsychologist and member of the Order of Psychologists of Quebec (OPQ), and I have been working as a private clinical neuropsychologist for several years. I am passionate about helping individuals and families better understand their cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.

I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology from the Université de Montréal and specialize in neuropsychological assessments and interventions across the lifespan. I work with children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges such as ADHD, learning difficulties, developmental disorders, and mental health concerns, as well as with parents seeking guidance to better support their children.

My background also includes experience as a dance teacher and as a counselor for young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), which strengthened my ability to adapt to each person’s unique needs. Having lived abroad, I bring additional sensitivity to cultural transitions and experiences of identity and belonging.

I offer services in French, English, Romanian, and Spanish, and strive to make care accessible and tailored to each person or family.

My goal is to help you better understand yourself and turn insight into meaningful, real-life change—so you can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and ease.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Clinical psychologyRecommended for those who need help with diagnosing and treating more complex mental health issues, often involving assessments and evidence-based treatments.
Systemic ApproachRecommended for those who want to look at how different systems—like family, work, or society—affect their behavior and relationships.
My approach is human-centered, collaborative, and focused on empowerment. I aim to create a space where clients feel understood and actively involved in their care, while translating complex neuropsychological findings into clear, concrete, and practical recommendations that can be applied in daily life.
