As an existential psychologist, I believe in the ability of a person to build good relationships with oneself and other people and live one's own life so that it is filled with meaning and values.
My own journey on this path started in Poland in 2014 in The Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, where I bought the book, written by Viktor Frankl - "Man's search for meaning". In 2014 I've already volunteered at NGO and was a human rights activist wishing to live a life working for the benefit of people. Frankl's book helped me in finding my own meaning in life - helping people as a psychologist - in 2017 I've finished training in existential analysis and started my own private practice.
Working at NGO LGBT-group "Stimul" allowed me to combine my professional knowledge and experience in psychology with my wish to be a part of NGO, dedicated to support LGBT+ people in Russia. A double win for a Russian lesbian-psychologist, I guess :)
One can apply for a psychologist's consultation either with a clear request - a specific topic or question, or without it. Perhaps you have noticed that lately your own life doesn't appear to you as something valuable and pleasant anymore, you do not like your life now, or can't imagine a good life in your future.
Working with a psychologist provides you with a guaranteed hour a week, reserved for time and necessary attention for yourself and opportunities to build a good relationship with your life.
If you want to be able to check in with your life and say with confidence: “I like my life, I know, that it has meaning”, I invite you to take the first step - include work with a psychologist in your weekly routine. This scheduled hour once a week provides you with an opportunity to create a necessary space for focus on yourself and your life.
