About me

I first came to Germany as a teenager, navigating the complexities of a new culture and language at just fourteen. Over the years, I’ve lived on both sides of the Atlantic, moving back and forth between the U.S. and Germany several times. Each transition was both exciting and disorienting, teaching me firsthand how disconnection, cultural differences, and the longing for belonging can shape one’s inner world.

These personal experiences, combined with my academic background in literature and philosophy, and later training in psychotherapy, deepened my interest in how people adapt to change. I saw clearly how expats and internationals often struggle in silence. Missing friends and family, questioning their identity, and sometimes feeling like outsiders in both cultures. My own journey of adjustment and healing inspired me to create a supportive space where others can process these challenges openly.

Today, I bring this perspective into my work as a therapist. I specialize in helping expats find their footing, whether they’re building new relationships, rediscovering a sense of home, or navigating stress, loss, and self-doubt far from familiar support systems. My goal is to walk alongside my clients as they reconnect with their resilience, inner resources, and sense of belonging.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioural therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Person-centred approachRecommended for those looking for a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can lead the conversation and explore their feelings at their own pace.
Solution-focused therapyRecommended for those who want quick, practical solutions to their problems without focusing too much time on the past.

My approach is practical, supportive, and focused on what truly matters to you. Together, we look at what’s working in your life and build on your strengths, while also gently untangling unhelpful patterns that may be holding you back. Clients often tell me they feel deeply understood in our conversations, and at the same time encouraged to take small, meaningful steps that lead to lasting change.
