About me

I am a bilingual psychologist and counsellor (German and English) based in Germany, working with both adults and youth. I help clients navigate the complexities of their relationships, build a stronger connection to their emotions, and improve their overall quality of life. Having lived in Canada, the US and the UK myself, I bring not only familiarity with different cultures into the therapy room, but firsthand experience of the psychological challenges that can arise during cross-cultural transitions.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
PsychodramaRecommended for those who want to use role-playing and dramatization to work through emotions and past experiences in a creative way.
Psychodynamic therapyRecommended for those looking to explore their emotions deeply and understand how past experiences shape their present life.

Working within a safe relationship, we will note and process your emotions together. I will help you find answers. Skill-building, solutions, feedback and even humor can all be part of therapy.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) (Ontario, Canada) and provide mental health support to adults in English and German. I work with a range of concerns, including relationship struggles, attachment issues, mild depressive episodes, anxiety, grief and loss, stress, perfectionism, life transitions, and self-esteem issues.

I believe the struggles we face in our lives and relationships are often caused by interpersonal difficulties and that a deeper exploration of one’s own patterns of relating can help improve the quality of our relationships and lives and relieve somatic symptoms.

Forming a trusting professional relationship with a counsellor can help us work through issues like these and live healthier, more fulfilling lives. I help clients identify suitable goals, gain more self-awareness and learn about their relational patterns. I believe that therapists and counsellors should go to therapy themselves to avoid bringing their own issues into the therapy room. This is why my own therapy will always be part of my life.

My counselling approach is influenced by psychodynamic theory, and I integrate experiential elements of psychodrama where applicable. I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. In Canada, I am supervised by Jennifer Elder, RP, CCC. On my website, you can find videos showcasing what therapy with me is like.
