About me

I am passionate about utilizing expressive work via a co-creative, collaborative process. I grew up in New York City and have been traveling the world since high school. My journeys have taken me to multiple countries across Europe, where I have lived, volunteered, and worked. These experiences have enriched my life, allowing me to connect with, learn from, and understand people of diverse cultures and backgrounds.

As a mental health professional and drama and expressive arts therapist, I am passionate about integrating creativity and imagination into the therapeutic process. I utilize metaphor, movement, and imagery in sessions with youth, adults, and families to enhance their healing journey. With 10 years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, and families in various settings, I am dedicated to fostering growth and transformation through the arts.

As a therapist now in private practice, my professional experience spans foster care agencies and behavioral health settings, inpatient and residential treatment, intensive outpatient, substance abuse treatment programs working with formerly incarcerated individuals, public high schools, and non-profit organizations focused on career and mental health.

I also work with artists-creatives who would like to develop their interpersonal skills and release daily life challenges.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Art therapyRecommended for those who feel more comfortable expressing emotions through creativity and want to explore their feelings through art rather than talking.
MindfulnessMindfulness is the process of maintaining a purposeful moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and surrounding environment.
Narrative therapyRecommended for those who want to rewrite the way they view their life story and feel more empowered in their personal journey.
Person-centred approachRecommended for those looking for a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can lead the conversation and explore their feelings at their own pace.

My approaches will help you feel centered, nurture imagination, and integrate new perspectives along with cultivating relational- interpersonal skills. Ultimately, this provides a natural way to reduce clinical symptoms, post-traumatic stress, and everyday stressors.

With a varied toolkit of verbal and expressive therapies, I will meet you where you are with patience and gentle understanding; as you progress on your journey to where you want to be with new hope, self-awareness, self-worth, resilience and faith in the future. I look forward to exploring, creating, expressing, and supporting your transformation.

My integrative lens in therapy allows you to share your thoughts and feelings beyond traditional talk therapy through mediums such as visual art, role-play, somatic movement, narrative work, poetry, existential exploration, spirituality, and mindfulness.
