About me

I am a postgraduate in MSc Clinical Psychology from Newcastle University, a BPS-accredited program where I graduated with merit. My academic journey began with a distinction in Psychology Honours from Delhi University, one of India's most prestigious institutions. Additionally, I hold a Certificate of Merit for scoring 100% in Psychology in my school-leaving examination, awarded by the Central Board of Examination, Government of India. My academic experiences have equipped me with a solid foundation in psychological research and therapeutic techniques, which I have applied in various professional roles.

My professional experience includes working with children and young adults with ADHD, autism, and other special educational needs. In my roles as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, I provided tailored support, developed strategies for academic and emotional development, and worked closely with multidisciplinary teams. I have a strong background in conducting academic assessments, delivering parent-led interventions, and working collaboratively with educational professionals to create safe and encouraging learning environments. Additionally, I have experience in psychometric assessments, CBT, DBT, and progressive muscle relaxation techniques, which have allowed me to assist individuals in managing anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.

I have also gained practical experience through internships under renowned clinical psychologists and have worked as a remote counseling psychologist, providing online therapy to individuals worldwide. My passion for psychology and commitment to mental health have fueled my desire to support individuals from diverse backgrounds, helping them overcome their emotional and psychological challenges. With my combination of academic achievements, hands-on experience, and training in therapeutic techniques, I am deeply committed to making a positive impact in the field of psychology.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Art therapyRecommended for those who feel more comfortable expressing emotions through creativity and want to explore their feelings through art rather than talking.

My approach to psychological care is client-centered, evidence-based, and holistic, ensuring that each individual’s unique needs and experiences are at the core of the therapeutic process. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic alliance, fostering a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to express themselves. I believe in the importance of active listening, empathy, and collaboration to create tailored interventions that address both immediate concerns and long-term well-being.

Drawing from my experience with diverse populations, particularly children and young adults with ADHD, autism, and other learning disabilities, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychometric assessments into my practice. I utilize a flexible approach, adapting evidence-based techniques to fit the developmental stage, emotional needs, and cultural background of each client. I also believe in the value of involving families and caregivers, particularly when working with younger clients, to ensure a comprehensive and supportive therapeutic environment.

By staying updated with current research and continuously expanding my skills, I strive to provide interventions that not only address the mental health symptoms but also promote resilience, self-awareness, and personal growth. I am committed to promoting positive mental health and well-being, fostering an inclusive environment, and working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for my clients.
