I have 25 years of experience of working with a variety of clients and issues. I welcome all enquiries and am happy to have an intro video call to see if we're a good fit. I am in the Netherlands but working online.
I have a mixed background myself (3rd culture kid) and am very interested in working with people who feel they don't fit in, whether it be via cultural, relational difference or a different neurotype.
Having lived in various countries myself, I speak several languages which, even though my therapeutic language is mainly English, I believe is useful when working with people of different backgrounds and cultures. If you're interested in finding out more about me, have a look at my professional website.
Although I work with virtually all issues, I have a special interest in working with people who identify as neurodivergent, whether diagnosed, undiagnosed or self diagnosed.
I have a warm and relaxed approach and am told I have a good sense of humour! Feel free to get in touch.
I was trained in the person centred appoach (Carl Rogers) but have adapted this over the 25 years I've been in practice with elements of CBT, Systemic Family Therapy and other ways of working. I always attempt to tailor and adapt my approach to the individual needs and wishes of the client.
My belief is that you are the expert when it comes to you, not me! I am a facilitator and will definitely give support and feedback, but my intention is always to empower the person.
