About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who lived in Oklahoma for 41 years before moving to Germany with my husband and our children. I have a private practice, providing individual counseling to English-speaking clients in Germany.

I hold a degree as a Master of Social Work in Direct Practice, graduating from the University of Oklahoma in 2005. I have been licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oklahoma since 2011, and I maintain an active license with the state. I worked in case management and clinical social work for 20 years before moving to Germany, with experience in hospital and school settings, as well as in private practice.

I have training and experience in play therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and I have experience helping people who are experiencing caregiver stress.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CounsellingRecommended for those who want to talk through their emotional challenges with a professional in a safe, supportive environment.
MindfulnessMindfulness is the process of maintaining a purposeful moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and surrounding environment.
Person-centred approachRecommended for those looking for a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can lead the conversation and explore their feelings at their own pace.
Systemic approachRecommended for those who want to look at how different systems—like family, work, or society—affect their behavior and relationships.

I offer individual counseling to individuals, and welcome clients of all genders, sexual orientations, cultures, races, and nationalities. I am LGTBQ friendly. I enjoy working with people who are experiencing stress due to their role as caregivers for children, spouses, elderly parent, or someone with a complex medical diagnosis. I also enjoy working with people who are adjusting to their new lives in Germany after an international move.
