My name is Lyra Bartsch and I'm a clinical Psychosexologist. I attained my BSc in Psychology at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. This is where my passion for sexology started in an elective class on the topic. I then decided to specialize in clinical Psychosexology and moved to Italy, where I completed my MSc in Clinical Psychosexology at Sapienza University in Rome. After working and training at a practice in Amsterdam, I have now returned to freelancing in person and online.
In my work, I use elements of systemic sex therapy and mindfulness-based approaches with a client-focused perspective, using empirically supported methods to help each individual client or couple in a way that works best for them.
Sexuality can be a difficult topic to talk about, so I am very keen to break taboos and promote sexual and relational well-being through open communication.
My therapeutic approach is holistic and individually tailored, integrating mindfulness practices with systems-based methods. I aim to create a safe, collaborative space built on trust where clients feel heard and validated. Each session adapts to the client's/couple's unique needs, using proven therapeutic approaches that create lasting positive changes and growth in personal identity, sexual wellbeing, and relational wellbeing.
My goal is to empower clients to cultivate a more fulfilling relationship with their sexuality, themselves, and their partner.
