About me

I’m an experienced, friendly therapist from Australia, and I offer a comprehensive psychology service to adults and children in Paris and online. I have a Masters in Clinical Psychology, am a fellow of the University of Sydney and was awarded the Australian Psychology Society Prize in 2015. People seek my services for many reasons: - They’re struggling with anxiety or depression - They’re stressed or burnt out - They feel isolated and alone away from their home country - They don’t feel good about themselves - They're struggling to find purpose and meaning in expat life - They need help dealing with a crisis - They want to work through unresolved childhood problems - They’re lonely, or tired of being in dysfunctional relationships - They have trouble controlling anger - They want to build more intimate, trusting relationships - Their child is sad, anxious or impulsive - They don't know quite what's wrong, they just feel bad or lost Whatever you might be going through, I can offer a caring, non-judgemental space where your story can be heard. My consulting rooms are in Paris, but I also provide therapy via Skype for those living elsewhere. My work draws both on my training as a clinical psychologist and my own life experience, including many years of living as an expat. I use a range of evidence-based treatments, which have been scientifically validated to improve emotional wellbeing and resilience. This means that you can be confident that your time spent in therapy will be worthwhile. It would be my privilege to help you feel better about your life, your relationships and, most importantly, about you.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and Commitment TherapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
The heart of my practice is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), the gold-standard treatment for the most common psychological issues such as anxiety and depression. I also have specialist training in other proven modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and mindfulness-based approaches. One of the advantages of individual therapy is that you don't have to follow a manual – treatment can be tailored to your particular needs. You might need effective strategies to deal with an emotional problem, or you might just want a confidant and port in a storm. Or someone to help you soundboard and hash out ideas. Or a coach and ally to help whip you into shape. I'd like to offer whatever it is you need to reach your potential and get back to loving life. Most of the treatment modalities I use have been demonstrated to be effective over a short period of time, with an average length of around 10-12 weekly sessions. However, depending on your needs it can be useful to engage in therapy for shorter or longer periods. Each therapy session lasts for just under one hour.
