About me

I graduated in psychology in Brazil in 2023 and moved to Portugal that same month with my husband. After that, I had my diploma recognized and am currently undertaking a "Junior Professional Year," which means I have a supervisor. I conduct in-person and online sessions in Porto, and I also participate in study groups and volunteer activities aimed at improving my practical skills. For example, I facilitate a monthly group for immigrant women. In my free time, I enjoy reading and watching TV.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Clinical psychologyRecommended for those who need help with diagnosing and treating more complex mental health issues, often involving assessments and evidence-based treatments.
CounsellingRecommended for those who want to talk through their emotional challenges with a professional in a safe, supportive environment.
PsychoanalysisRecommended for those who want to explore how their unconscious mind and early experiences affect their current behaviors and feelings.

I seek to work with the psychoanalytic approach, where the analyst's position is neutral. This position does not mean doing nothing, because in reality it is a neutrality of non-judgment. We are present in the relationship with each patient without demanding a standard answer or fit, being available to provide support and also empower the subject, with a desire to accompany the patient in creating a safe and free space to truly know themselves and allow themselves to make more conscious decisions that will improve their quality of life.

"We Need to Talk" is a therapeutic group project aimed at addressing the need for emotional support during the migration process in Portugal. It will take place on the first Thursday of each month, starting on Thursday, December 4th, at 8:00 PM (based in Porto, Portugal). Simply put, the idea is an online group available for Portuguese-speaking immigrants to have a space to ask questions and find comfort by sharing their experiences with people going through similar situations.
