About me

Hi, my name is Agata (pronounced Agatha). I am a humanistic, primarily Gestalt counsellor with a deep interest in relational dynamics, trauma, sexuality and the complexities of the modern world. Especially, how these pressures and influences affect our sense of self and relationships. I offer a dynamic and open-minded space for adults, where experiences are fully acknowledged. My approach is grounded in a humanistic and Gestalt-informed way of working, which means I focus on what is happening in the present moment and how you experience yourself, both emotionally and physically. My role is not to fix or analyse, but to listen, relate and gently challenge.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CounsellingRecommended for those who want to talk through their emotional challenges with a professional in a safe, supportive environment.
Gestalt therapyRecommended for those who want to focus on the present and take responsibility for their feelings and actions to promote personal growth.
Trauma informed careRecommended for those who have experienced trauma and need a safe, supportive space to heal at their own pace.

The therapeutic relationship is collaborative, so it’s okay to question or challenge the therapist if something doesn’t feel right. The fit matters; if the approach doesn’t feel supportive, it’s okay to explore other options and find what works best. Just as dancers must synchronise their movements to a shared beat, the therapist and client tune into each other's pace, emotions, and communication style. In counselling sessions, the work is guided by your needs and pace. At times, it is focused on reflection and understanding emotional and relational patterns, at other times, the work is more direct with what is happening in the present moment. Therapy is available for a wide range of emotional, relational, and psychological difficulties, including but not limited to: Anxiety and stress Depression and low mood Trauma and PTSD Self-esteem and self-worth issues Relationship issues Attachment and emotional difficulties ADHD and neurodiversity related challenges Behavioural issues Domestic abuse and domestic violence Substance use Life transitions and identity changes Self-harm and suicidal ideation Sexuality and LGBTQ+ related concerns Gender identity and transgender experiences Racial identity and cultural issues Sex positive and kink-aware therapy My practice does not include work with children or support around pregnancy, pregnancy loss, or early years parenting.
