About me

Welcome! My name is Adela (she/her) and I'm a Czech psychologist with a private practice based in Prague.

Thanks to my initial college degree in tourism and hospitality, I embarked on a journey that took me across the globe, immersing myself in diverse cultures. The fates of the people I met abroad, my deep rooted curiosity and interest in multiculturalism eventually led me to return to academia and pursue psychology.

Drawing from my personal journey of living, working and studying in six countries across Europe, I gained enough experience to help you create a safe space where you can be yourself no matter where you find yourself in the world.

Together we will explore the challenges you face, discover your strengths and I will gladly be your guide on the way to a happier and more fulfilling life.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CounsellingRecommended for those who want to talk through their emotional challenges with a professional in a safe, supportive environment.
Solution-focused therapyRecommended for those who want quick, practical solutions to their problems without focusing too much time on the past.
Systemic therapyRecommended for those who want to understand how their relationships and environments influence their behavior and emotions, particularly within family or organizational systems.

I focus on the vision of a positive future, and I seek the way with clients to get there.

While I meet clients with a variety of mental, emotional and relational difficulties, I specialize in helping guide young adult expats through anxiety, cultural shock, cultural integration, loneliness, stress and life transitions.

My approach to psychotherapy is proactive and collaborative. We will explore your expectations, goals and needs, and I will also ask you for feedback as it helps me keep us on the right track. I believe that everyone is an expert of their own life and has a unique set of skills and resources they can apply.

My theoretical background is rooted in strategic and systemic psychotherapy and hypnotherapy, I combine and draw inspiration from a number of counseling, psychotherapeutic and coaching principles I have acquired during my studies and practice. I am constantly expanding my professional theoretical education, alongside undergoing my personal psychotherapy and working under supervision.
