My work centers on fostering healing, resilience, and growth. Using integrative, evidence-based approaches, I support adults in overcoming challenges and building healthier, more fulfilling lives.
I first trained in Town and Regional Planning, I soon followed my passion for psychology, completing an MA in Counselling Psychology and a PhD on trauma recovery. Since 2005, I’ve run a private practice, supporting adults with challenges such as depression, anxiety, and grief, through trauma, stress, and life transitions.
My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and integrative. I believe each person holds within them the capacity to heal, and my role is to provide a safe and supportive space where the healing process can unfold. Drawing on psychodynamic insight, trauma-informed care, and mind-body approaches. In my work with adults, I place emphasis the healing of psychobiological wounds, process difficulties, strengthen resilience, and move toward growth. Above all, I view therapy a journey of discovery, healing, and growth.
I've been practicing psychology over 20 years, working full-time in private practice since 2005. During this time, I have acquired extensive experience assisting individuals in overcoming mental health challenges by providing valuable insights and implementing effective solutions. During my 20 + years in private practice I worked with patients / clients within a diverse demographic and cultural client base (e.g. age, socio-economic status, language, culture, race, gender, disability or sexual orientation). My professional experience involves working with a wide range of clients/patients spanning different age groups, from young children to mature adults. However, you have recently decided to narrow my focus and concentrate on working specifically with individual adult clients/patients.
