I work as a relational therapist and work with client's for many issues such as anxiety, stress, relationship issues and divorce, bereavement, trauma, low self-esteem and family issues.
I have specialist training in Mindfulness which integrates Buddhist psychology and Western psychotherapy, and in EMDR. I have also been trained in working with the body, developmental and attachment issues, relationship difficulties, and trauma.
Mindfulness Psychotherapy helps clients to meet themselves and their current and past issues gently, and with greater understanding and compassion. This method allows clients to meet difficult feelings, painful emotions and traumatic experiences in a more contained way, and practicing dual awareness enables clients to avoid merging with or re-living the painful experiences.
I also support clients in working with embodied sensations, bringing presence to the body's subtle reactions and feeling tones, in the moment. This exploration of self is done in relationship and I provide a confidential and non-judgemental holding environment for the client to be deeply heard and seen.
This relational psychotherapy can also help to ease self-critical thoughts, feelings and judgements. As we learn to meet ourselves with gentleness and compassion change can occur, allowing a greater sense of connection in ourselves, our relationships and our experinces of being human.
I see clients Online, on a weekly basis for one hour sessions.
