I have been working in the field of existential therapy since 2020, when I began my studies at the Institute of Humanistic and Existential Therapy in Lithuania. I completed my studies in 2025 and received my diploma. Before starting my studies in psychotherapy, I graduated from medical school and obtained a specialty in family medicine.
I work with adults and young people aged 16 and above. The most common reasons clients seek help are anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and exploring their lives and goals.
During therapy, I am attentive and open to my feelings, the process, and the client. I am careful when building relationships and discussing contracts, and I strive to make the therapeutic process and terms of cooperation as clear as possible to the client. I am always interested in how a person lives, how they have lived so far, what led to their current difficulties and situation. I am non-judgmental but supportive, also in the process of self-discovery.
I continue to attend group and individual supervision sessions, training sessions, and courses.
As an existential therapist, I work in accordance with the principles of existential psychotherapy, observing the code of ethics and confidentiality rules. The therapy process is based on a phenomenological therapeutic position. In my work, I strive to get to know and understand the client's world, taking into account various life contexts. One of the main aspects of the therapeutic process is getting to know each other and building a mutually safe and trusting relationship. In therapy, it is important for me to be with the client in their experiences, rather than trying to solve and do something right away. Initially, it is important to allow everything that disturbs the client to be there, and I try to learn and understand it, so presence is very important here. I don't give advice or recommend how to act in a given situation, but it is important for me to explore the possibilities and limitations of various life challenges together with the client. I try to be present as an unknowing but very attentive and compassionate person. It is also important for me to pay attention to how a person shows their way of "being" in this world and how it manifests itself in our shared space and relationships.
