I'm a researcher and clinical psychologist based in Rome, very passionate about my job. I'm curious and open minded, and personally practice mindfulness meditation since 2010, participating in intensive retreats, and exploring how different contemplative traditions can help people overcome different levels of existential suffering. I'm also passionate about sports, in particular sailing racing, Aikido practice and snowboarding, and all the challenges they offer to grow outside of the athlete's comfort zone. In the past year I started to study and exploring the use psychedelic drugs in therapeutic settings, which I think could be a great advance for modern psychiatric treatment.
As an Acceptance and Commitment Therapist, I believe that the first step to move forward a more integrated and whole sense of being is the acceptance of the present state of the patient, through mindfulness and compassion focused technics. My approach is consistently grounded on establishing a stable therapeutic alliance, with a non judgmental attitude, as it is recognized to be one of the main factors affecting a successful therapeutic outcome. Different king of therapeutic tools will be offered through out the therapeutic path, ranging from Gestalt therapy domain to Mindfulness based approaches.
