About me

I am originally from Taiwan but have spent most of my life living abroad in China, the U.A.E, and now the Netherlands. This personal journey gives me a deep understanding of the challenges expats face when integrating into new cultural environments.

After completing my MSc in Clinical Psychology, I chose to stay and work as a psychologist in the Netherlands, drawn by the country's openness and multicultural environment. I appreciate the diversity of cultures, which allows me to connect with people from various backgrounds, and I am continually inspired by how welcoming the Dutch society is toward internationals. Working here has given me the opportunity to deepen my understanding of different perspectives and enrich my practice by incorporating a culturally sensitive approach to mental health care.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and commitment therapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
CBT: Cognitive behavioural therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Music therapyRecommended for those who find it easier to express feelings or process emotions through music rather than talking.

I utilize a range of therapeutic approaches in my practice, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and Creative Arts Therapy. In addition to working with adults in psychotherapy, I also provide play and music therapy for children on the spectrum, behavioral therapy, including those with emotional dysregulation or behavioral challenges. My primary focus is always on client-centered therapy. I recognize that each individual is unique—as are their reasons for seeking help. Therefore, I tailor therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s specific needs, ensuring the support they receive is both personalized and effective.
