I am Elmira, a psychologist from Iran, a land rich in history yet often shadowed by profound struggles. My journey has been shaped by deep personal and professional experiences, allowing me to truly understand the complexities of emotions, cultural limitations, and the unique challenges faced by individuals navigating life within and beyond Muslim societies. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Shiraz University and a Master's in Psychology, I have spent the past six years working in various settings across Iran. My expertise spans a wide range of mental health concerns, including phobias, trauma, depression, OCD, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Having worked with over 150 cases of ADHD and autism, I bring a compassionate and structured approach to my practice.
Beyond that, I have also provided a safe, non-judgmental space for adults exploring their identities, including those with fetishistic interests and BDSM desires. My goal is not to "fix" but to guide—helping individuals accept themselves fully, rather than running from their differences.
For me, psychology is more than just a career—it’s a calling. I believe that through understanding our minds, we can experience true healing and growth. Every conversation we have is an opportunity to connect, to understand, and to begin the process of transformation.
Psychodynamic Therapy I use this approach to explore deep, unconscious traumas and painful experiences, particularly with influences from Melanie Klein’s work. This helps us uncover the root of painful emotions and patterns, including the origins of fantasies or unconscious drives like sadism and masochism. Understanding these aspects of yourself can provide healing and self-compassion.
Family Therapy & Systemic Approaches Family dynamics play a significant role in shaping our behaviors and struggles. Through systemic therapy, we explore these influences and how they impact your current situation. For children, I use play therapy as a gentle and effective way to help them express and process their emotions.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) For issues like depression, anxiety, or ADHD and autism, I apply CBT to help you identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. Together, we’ll develop strategies to cope with stress, manage emotions, and improve your quality of life.
My Attitude Toward Clients: I approach every session with compassion, honesty, and respect. You are the expert of your own life, and I am here to offer my expertise on how the mind works. Together, we will explore your concerns and develop strategies that are right for you.
Session Availability: If you feel ready to start this journey, feel free to reach out and send me a direct message. I’m here to support you.
