About me

I've been a social worker since 2004. I live in New Brunswick, Canada with my 6 sons. I have experience working with a variety of populations: veterans, palliative, cancer patients, refugees, children, adolescents, and adults. I have experience working with and treating anxiety, OCD, grief, trauma, and neurodevelopmental disorders. In addition to holding a Masters of Social Work, I've trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Narrative Therapy and Internal Family Systems.

Treatment Approaches
Narrative therapyRecommended for those who want to rewrite the way they view their life story and feel more empowered in their personal journey.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to any therapeutic endeavor, therefore, creating emotional safety is my first priority. I understand coming into therapy can be stressful and people seeking therapy often feel quite vulnerable. I know this, as I have sought therapy in my own times of struggle. I see mental health as fluid, something that is subject to change due to circumstances and experiences that overwhelm and should be treated with as much priority as our physical health that also fluctuates. I take a collaborative approach and believe in shared expertise: you are the expert of your lived experience, history, struggles while I can support learning and healing with supporting insight, understanding, and introduction of skills and new learning.
