I'm a licensed psychotherapist who uses evidence-based approaches to help you understand your emotions, build self-confidence, and develop effective strategies for life's challenges in a safe, judgment-free space.
Hi! I'm Raissa, a licensed psychotherapist since 2020, currently completing advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I specialize in supporting clients with ADHD, anxiety and phobias, perfectionism, chronic procrastination, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. I also work with couples of all configurations (LGBTQIA+, ENM/polyamorous, multicultural, and more) to strengthen communication, resolve conflicts, deepen intimacy, and navigate the complexities of shared life together. I believe effective therapy happens in a space where you can explore yourself with open-hearted curiosity, free from judgment or shame.
I'm committed to staying current with evidence-based practices while adapting them to honour your unique background and lived experience. As someone trained in Latin American social psychology perspectives, I recognize that traditional Western therapeutic models don't work equally well for everyone. My practice is grounded in the belief that therapy should be a tool for liberation and empowerment rather than pathologize difference or enforce conformity. I'm dedicated to being a safe, inclusive space for minorities and marginalized communities.
