I completed my training at the Tavistock Clinic London in 1996. Since then I have worked for the NHS and the NSPCC. In May 2021 I retired from the NHS and now have a small independent practice. My work has largely been concerned with trauma and loss connected to transition and disconnection from family and place. I believe my experience is relevant to working with young people caught up in the turmoil of events in the Ukraine.
I have published and presented at conferences both nationally and internationally.
I work with Children and young people who have experienced disconnection from family and place. I work with trauma and through art and play help to bring the unsayable into a context in which it can be thought about.
