I am Cristal Ngo, a passionate mental health professional with specialized training in trauma therapy and holistic healing techniques. Currently, I am pursuing my licensure in Wisconsin and work at a private clinic specializing in trauma and family counseling. My academic background includes a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches in my practice, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE), Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), and psychedelic therapy and integration.
My approach is deeply influenced by over a decade of experience in mindfulness and pranayama, enhancing my ability to guide clients through their healing journeys with empathy and precision. I am committed to supporting individuals as they uncover and work through the layers of their experiences, facilitating healing that encompasses mental, physical, and emotional wellness. By combining traditional therapies with innovative techniques like psychedelic integration, I help individuals reconnect with their inner selves and navigate their paths to recovery and self-discovery.
My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in the belief that healing is a journey back to one's true self, reconnecting with the innermost beauty that resides within each of us. I strive to understand each client holistically, recognizing the unique psychological, physical, and emotional dimensions that contribute to their current state. By assessing not only the symptoms but also the underlying causes and broader life contexts, I aim to provide a comprehensive and empathetic understanding of each individual's needs.
In my practice, I integrate traditional psychotherapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with advanced modalities such as EMDR, psychedelic integration, and somatic practices including Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) and Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP). This blend allows me to address both the mind and body, facilitating a profound release and healing from trauma and stress.
Central to my method is creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients can feel safe and understood. I work collaboratively with clients to set realistic, achievable goals, customizing therapy plans to align with their personal growth objectives. Empowering clients through education about mental health management and self-care strategies is also a key component of my approach. By fostering mindfulness and self-reflection, I encourage clients to develop greater self-awareness and emotional regulation, guiding them to reconnect with their core selves and embrace the flow of life. This path is not just about healing—it’s about transformative growth, leading to meaningful connections with the world around them.
