Welcome! My name is Allan Kroskin, I'm a psychologist with a diverse educational and professional background, committed to providing effective psychological support. My journey in psychology has been shaped by experiences across multiple countries, each contributing to my understanding of the complexities of the human mind.
Educational Background
Originally from Estonia, my academic pursuit led me to Canada for high school, followed by the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, where I earned my Masters degree in Psychology. This period was enriched by a specialized course in conflict resolution, equipping me with unique insights into interpersonal dynamics. Upon returning to Estonia, I deepened my practical skills through a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) course and a WHO-certified course in Psychological First Aid. These qualifications have been fundamental in my approach to mental health care.
Professional Expertise
The conflict in Ukraine marked a significant phase in my career, where I worked with organizations assisting refugees. This lead to co-founding and managing a Ukrainian refugee center in Estonia. My role in this initiative has been an integral part of my professional development, offering me firsthand experience in addressing diverse mental health needs.
In addition to my work with refugees, I collaborate with IFightDepression, focusing on developing self-help tools for managing depression. I also consult Mentbest team, aiding in the creation of online resources for vulnerable groups like refugees, immigrants, people with disabilities, and the unemployed.
