My work focuses on the intersection of psychology, behavioral patterns, habits & relationships, supporting individuals and families in understanding dynamics, reducing emotional stress, and creating sustainable change.
I am a psychologist (M.Sc.) and systemic counselor based in The Hague, working with children, adolescents, parents, and families. My work is shaped by both professional training and real-life experience: living abroad, raising four children, and navigating complex life transitions myself. In my sessions, I help you make sense of what feels confusing or overwhelming. Together, we untangle thoughts, emotions, and patterns and turn them into something you can actually understand and work with. My focus is not only on understanding the “why”, but on creating practical, sustainable change in everyday life. I work in English and German.
I work integratively, combining different evidence-based approaches depending on your needs and situation. My work includes: • Systemic techniques – understanding patterns, relationships, and the bigger context • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – working with thoughts, emotions, and behaviors • Psychoeducation – making psychological processes understandable and practical • Body-based regulation – using breathing and nervous system tools to reduce stress • Narrative techniques – exploring and reshaping personal stories and beliefs • Habit and behavior change strategies – creating realistic and sustainable routines I aim to create a structured, supportive space where insight leads to meaningful change.
