I believe that the therapeutic relationship is fundamental to the healing process. Creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard and genuinely connected allows them the space to explore, heal and grow.
Over the past five years, I have been working as a mental health counselor through various mental health platforms. I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Sheffield, where I also completed a one and a half year practicum, providing therapeutic sessions both in person and online. I am currently continuing my academic journey with undergraduate studies in Psychology, aiming to further deepen both the theoretical and practical foundations of my profession.
I hold a degree in Theology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which has contributed to a better understanding of human values, spiritual pursuits and existential concerns. This knowledge enriches my approach to psychology and my work, allowing me to support clients in a more holistic and integrated way.
Alongside my professional work, I have been actively involved in volunteering with organizations such as ENTOS#EKTOS, where I served as a facilitator and coordinator of creative workshops for vulnerable social groups and juvenile offenders. Additionally, as a volunteer at Milamou.gr, I provide support to people in need.
I work online in the field of mental health with individuals of all ages and diverse cultural backgrounds. At the same time, I invest consistently in my personal and professional growth through personal therapy, individual and group supervision, attending seminars, writing articles, and actively engaging in the wider mental health community.
In psychotherapy, the therapeutic relationship plays a pivotal role in facilitating change. My relationship with clients is grounded in principles of equality, respect, care, genuineness, openness, and acceptance. These qualities help create a safe and supportive environment, encouraging clients to feel comfortable and understood. I firmly believe that fostering this kind of environment is essential for therapeutic progress.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from different modalities that have shaped the way I understand and support each individual. These include psychoanalytic and psychodynamic approaches, which explore how unconscious experiences and early relationships influence the present; person-centered therapy, which values empathy and the belief that every person has the capacity for growth; existential therapy, which invites reflection on life’s deeper questions of meaning, freedom, and responsibility; gestalt therapy, which emphasizes awareness and the integration of mind and body; and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which targets symptom reduction and challenges distorted thought patterns.
I recognize that each person’s story is unique, and so is the process of therapy. My role is to listen carefully, understand your needs, and tailor our work together in a way that feels right for you. Drawing on my training and experience, I aim to provide the support and guidance needed to help you make sense of your experiences, overcome challenges, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
