About me

Many of the adults and adolescents I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or disconnected — often in the context of anxiety, stress, trauma, or major life transitions. For expats and internationally minded clients, these experiences can be intensified by relocation, cultural adjustment, and identity shifts.

My own life has been shaped by living and working across countries. After working up and down the U.S. East Coast, I moved to Europe in 2015 and lived in Romania for nearly seven years before settling in the Netherlands. This personal experience allows me to deeply understand the emotional challenges that can come with starting over, adapting to new environments, and building a sense of belonging.

Professionally, I have over seven years of clinical experience working with adults, adolescents, children, and families in a range of settings. I currently work primarily with adults, and I also support adolescents aged 13 and up, particularly through online therapy. In addition, I have a strong background in working with children and families, especially when emotional or behavioral concerns are connected to stress, transitions, or difficult life experiences.

Clients often describe me as calm, supportive, and flexible. I aim to create a therapeutic space that feels safe, respectful, and non-judgmental — a place where you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I value building a trusting relationship where clients feel genuinely heard and understood.

I am a licensed counselor and art therapist, trained at George Washington University. I work in English and have extensive experience supporting expat and international clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

*I also support children and families, particularly when emotional or behavioral concerns are connected to stress, transitions, or adjustment challenges.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Art therapyRecommended for those who feel more comfortable expressing emotions through creativity and want to explore their feelings through art rather than talking.
Integrative therapy Recommended for those who prefer a flexible approach that combines different therapies to meet their unique needs.
Trauma informed careRecommended for those who have experienced trauma and need a safe, supportive space to heal at their own pace.

My approach to therapy is integrative, trauma-informed, and client-centered. I tailor my work to each individual, recognizing that people’s needs, goals, and ways of processing experiences are unique.

I primarily work with adults, and I also support adolescents (13–17) who are open to online therapy. Depending on your needs, our work may include traditional talk therapy, creative and expressive methods, sandplay, sensorimotor and body-based techniques, and mindfulness-based practices. Some clients find it helpful to talk things through, while others benefit from creative or body-oriented approaches — especially when emotions or experiences are difficult to put into words.

When working with adolescents, I focus on building trust, emotional awareness, and practical coping skills in a collaborative and age-appropriate way. For children and families, I use creative and play-based approaches and, when appropriate, involve caregivers to support the child’s emotional development and overall well-being.

In the first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what has brought you to therapy. We’ll explore your concerns, your background, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I’ll also explain how I work and answer any questions you may have. This first meeting is a chance to see whether working together feels like a good fit.

My goal is to help clients develop greater emotional understanding, resilience, and practical tools for navigating life’s challenges — at a pace that feels right for them.

If you’re curious about therapy or wondering whether I might be a good match, I invite you to book a free introductory call so we can connect and explore how I can support you.
