About me

I am a Health Psychologist with a Master’s degree in Health Psychology from the United Kingdom, with extensive clinical experience supporting adults and young adults across a broad range of psychological challenges. My work focuses particularly on anxiety, depression, burnout, stress management and suicidal ideation. I provide online therapy for individuals and couples across the Netherlands and Europe, offering a supportive and confidential space where clients can explore difficulties, gain insight and develop practical strategies for change.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based methods. I work collaboratively with clients to understand how thoughts, emotions and behaviours interact, and to develop healthier patterns that support emotional well-being and resilience. Therapy is tailored to each individual’s needs, with a focus on practical, evidence-based tools that can be applied in everyday life.

Alongside my work with common mental health concerns, I have experience supporting individuals adjusting to workplace challenges and reintegration, working with people with learning difficulties, and helping individuals and families navigate the emotional impact of brain injury and neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism. I also work with couples and family dynamics, supporting healthier communication and deeper understanding within relationships. My approach is holistic, recognising the important connection between mind, body and overall well-being.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Art therapyRecommended for those who feel more comfortable expressing emotions through creativity and want to explore their feelings through art rather than talking.
CBT: Cognitive behavioural therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
MindfulnessMindfulness is the process of maintaining a purposeful moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and surrounding environment.
Psychotherapy Recommended for those who want to work through emotional or mental health challenges by talking with a trained psychotherapist.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate and grounded in evidence-based practice. I believe that therapy works best when clients feel safe, understood and respected, and I aim to create a supportive and non-judgmental space where individuals can openly explore their thoughts, emotions and experiences. My role is not only to listen and understand but also to guide and support clients in developing practical tools that can help them navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

My work is primarily informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches. CBT focuses on understanding the connection between thoughts, emotions and behaviours, and how certain patterns can contribute to distress or difficulties in everyday life. Together we explore these patterns and work towards developing healthier and more constructive ways of thinking and responding. Mindfulness techniques can also help clients become more aware of their internal experiences, manage stress more effectively and cultivate greater emotional balance.

In our work together, I aim to balance psychological insight with practical strategies that clients can apply in their daily lives. Therapy is always tailored to the individual, as every person’s experiences, challenges and goals are unique. I work collaboratively with clients to identify meaningful goals and to develop realistic steps toward change, whether this involves improving coping strategies, strengthening emotional resilience, or gaining a deeper understanding of oneself.

I take a holistic perspective in my work, recognising that mental well-being is closely connected to physical health, lifestyle, relationships and life circumstances. By considering the individual as a whole, therapy can support not only symptom relief but also long-term well-being, personal growth and a greater sense of balance in life.

Experience

I have worked across a variety of clinical and community settings supporting individuals facing psychological, emotional, and developmental challenges. I provided counselling and therapeutic support to adults and young adults navigating personal difficulties, workplace stress, and life transitions. This included conducting individual counselling sessions, administering psychological assessments, and developing tailored interventions to support emotional wellbeing.

I also worked with individuals with neurological conditions, including traumatic and acquired brain injuries, providing cognitive counselling, facilitating group sessions, and incorporating therapeutic activities such as art-based interventions. Additionally, I supported children with learning difficulties and neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism, by implementing and developing behavioural support programmes to enhance learning and behavioural development.

In organisational settings, I supported graduates adjusting to new workplace environments and facilitated wellbeing workshops focused on stress management, resilience, and mental health awareness. Alongside my clinical work, I conducted research and data analysis to support psychological programmes and interventions, helping to ensure the best outcomes for clients.

Across all my roles, I focused on creating safe, supportive, and empowering spaces where individuals could explore challenges, develop coping strategies, and work toward meaningful persona
