About me

I am an Italian psychologist and psychotherapist in training, based in Vienna. I support individuals and couples navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, low mood/depression, relationship difficulties, self-confidence issues, attachment patterns and life transitions. Before training in psychology, I completed a PhD in Foreign Languages and Literatures. Living and working across different cultural contexts shaped my sensitivity to diverse backgrounds, identity, and the complexity of human stories: an interest that naturally led me to psychotherapy. Having lived internationally and navigated transitions myself, I understand how challenging it can be to adjust to a new culture, feel lonely despite “functioning well,” or struggle with belonging and relationships far from home. I especially enjoy supporting people through phases of change, helping them find clarity, stability, and a deeper connection to what feels authentic and meaningful. My work is grounded in a post-Freudian psychodynamic approach, with attention to emotions, relationships and unconscious processes. I also integrate imagination-based techniques to support deeper emotional processing and self-awareness. Alongside my clinical work, I am a professional pianist and composer. This artistic background shapes my sensitivity to emotions beyond words, and I often work with creatives, performers and high-achieving individuals dealing with pressure, self-doubt, emotional blocks, or the challenge of balancing ambition and wellbeing. I offer sessions in Italian, English, German, French and Spanish, online and in Vienna.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
PsychoanalysisRecommended for those who want to explore how their unconscious mind and early experiences affect their current behaviors and feelings.
Psychodynamic therapyRecommended for those looking to explore their emotions deeply and understand how past experiences shape their present life.
Psychotherapy Recommended for those who want to work through emotional or mental health challenges by talking with a trained psychotherapist.
My approach is rooted in post-Freudian psychodynamic principles, with a particular focus on imaginative experience and the exploration of unconscious processes. Many emotional difficulties are not “random,” but connected to deeper patterns shaped by past experiences, early relationships, and the ways we learned to protect ourselves. During the sessions, we will work together, exploring how these patterns show up in the present: in emotions, self-esteem, relationships, intimacy, boundaries, or the way you respond to stress. The aim is not only to understand, but to create clarity, emotional relief, and space for new ways of feeling and relating. Since words are not enough, the use of the imagination will be the access key to your unconscious, and all the emotional impressions that emerge in the process. This can help access layers of experience that are difficult to reach through rational thinking alone, supporting a deeper understanding of what you feel, what you need, and what might be holding you back. Everything is always approached with care, respect, and at your own pace. Sessions are available in Italian, English, German, French and Spanish. Having lived internationally myself, I understand the emotional complexity of living abroad: identity shifts, cultural adjustment, loneliness, and the stress of constant change. This space can become grounding and supportive, helping you reconnect with your values, inner stability, and sense of belonging. For couples, I offer a setting where both partners can feel seen and heard, especially when communication feels stuck or emotionally charged. Together we explore the deeper layers beneath conflict, such as attachment dynamics, unmet needs, fear of vulnerability, or loss of trust , and work toward rebuilding connection in a more respectful and emotionally attuned way. My style is collaborative and empathetic. I do not impose ready-made solutions, but support you in discovering your own resources, developing emotional clarity, and strengthening your connection with yourself and with others. The goal is not only to reduce symptoms, but to foster meaningful change over time.
