I have a deep-rooted interest in human nature - behaviours, ways of thinking and personal histories. Led by this interest, I decided to leave my career in the corporate private sector to train as a psychodynamic psychotherapist.
My fascination with psychoanalytic theory began with my MA degree in Psychoanalysis, History and Culture - and has endured.
For my professional training at the Vienna Psychoanalytic Academy, I moved from London to Vienna. Therefore, the expat experience is something I am personally familiar with.
I offer psychotherapy in English and German.
There might come a point in life where one feels trapped to move forward - caught in one's thinking, actions and personal history. Feelings of unhappiness, despair and hopelessness can be a result - and even manifest symptoms.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy can help to gain a deeper understanding of oneself and create an awareness of unconscious patterns and feelings. Thereby, it can alleviate symptoms and improve one's quality of life.
The therapeutic relationship is key to the process.
In my practice, I meet the patient where they are - with sensitivity, respect, openness, free of judgment, and a genuine interest. I offer a safe and strictly confidential space that facilitates a therapeutic alliance where development can happen.
I recommend at least TWO initial consultations with the aim of getting a better understanding of your struggles, identifying if the approach I practice is what you are looking for, to get a sense if we are a good match, and to discuss the setting.
All sessions last 45 minutes and take place on a weekly basis with 1 - 2 sessions per week.
I offer sliding scale fees, aiming to make psychotherapy affordable and accessible. Payment terms will be discussed during our initial sessions.
