I am a psychologist, psychotherapist, and psycho-oncologist with over 20 years of clinical experience. My practice is guided by the belief in the healing potential of evidence-based psychotherapy, which I offer to both individuals and couples. Beyond my clinical work, training the next generation of mental health professionals is a central part of my career as an Assistant Professor at SWPS University. I hold the position of Head of the Psychology in English Department, where I oversee the English-language Psychology programs at both the bachelor's and master's levels. My qualifications are extensive, including a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Warsaw, a four-year postgraduate psychodynamic psychotherapy training at Collegium Medicum of Jagiellonian University, and certifications from the European Association for Psychotherapy (ECP) and the Polish Psycho-Oncology Society. This expertise allows me to provide specialised support to patients dealing with the emotional aspects of cancer and to serve as supervisor for other therapists and psych-oncologists. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space for clients to explore their inner world. I support them in navigating their challenges and developing the skills needed to build healthier, more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others.
My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for us to explore the sensitive areas together. Applying the psychodynamic lenses we can recognise the underlying dynamics and unconscious relationship patters, to create long-lasting, meaningful change rather than simply addressing surface-level symptoms. When working with couples, I blend the psychodynamic perspective with existential and systemic approach. This allows in therapy, to not only understand each partner's individual background, but also to see how their unique patterns interact within the context of the relationship. I specialise in helping couples navigate issues of closeness and intimacy, particularly in bicultural relationships, and guide them through crises to build healthier connections. My work is also shaped by my specialisation in psycho-oncology. This experience has given me deep insight into helping individuals and families cope with the emotional and existential challenges of chronic and life-limiting illnesses, also in the end of life care. Regardless of the client, my practice is grounded in clinical supervision to ensure the highest standard of care. This ongoing reflection allows me to continuously master my skills and offer the most effective support possible. I invite you to a collaborative environment where we work together to understand your inner world and achieve a more fulfilling life.
