About me

With systemic counseling, I offer the necessary space to understand and overcome your current problems. The method I use takes into account the different contexts you evolve in - familial, economic, societal or cultural. You are not solely responsible for your situation or problems, but you are the expert for finding creative solutions. My passion for social topics and my firm belief in the agency of everyone is the basis for my systemic counseling practice. Come as you are, with your problems and questions, but also your wishes for a future that corresponds to you. Develop a better comprehension of yourself, to affirm your decisions and better communication in your relationships. Originally from Germany, I currently live in Nantes (France) and work as a systemic counselor in a private practice. I offer sessions online or in person in Nantes, in English, German or French. More on my website www.clara-becker.com, or Instagram @clarabecker_helps You can contact me via this platform or at info@clara-becker.com to book a free 20 min first call.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Person-centered approachRecommended for those looking for a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can lead the conversation and explore their feelings at their own pace.
Solution-focused therapyRecommended for those who want quick, practical solutions to their problems without focusing too much time on the past.
Systemic therapyRecommended for those who want to understand how their relationships and environments influence their behavior and emotions, particularly within family or organizational systems.
Systemic Counseling means for me, to bring together my experience and expertise in gender studies and my practical training in systemic counseling and methods. My personal background is studies in linguistics and gender studies and professional experience in student and family counseling and lifelong learning. I am especially passionate about systemic methods, because they enable each individual to find their own solutions and empowerment. A discrimination sensitive perspective is very important to my work, and my personal experiences as a member of the LGBTQI+ community are part of this. The systemic process is solution oriented and creative, constantly adapting to new challenges that come up during sessions. I offer a fresh perspective, support, encouragement and guidance. We will work on concrete actions that allow you to get closer to your personal or professional goals. Topics to discuss in a session could be for example: conflicts between friends, family or at work; relationships and forms of relationships; new life chapters (moving cities, coming out, separations…); decision making; troubles with self-confidence and identity; (creative) blocks and many more. As a certified Trauma of Money practitioner, I support you in taking a look at your relationship to your finances. Topics can include for example: financial anxiety, under earning, difficulty saving money or sticking to your budget, overspending, financial avoidance, dealing with finances in your business or relationship(s). Disclaimer: I am not a psychotherapist, systemic counseling can not replace psychotherapy. If you are seeking help and support in an acute mental health crisis or for anxiety, depression or other diagnoses, please refer to a licensed mental health professional or call a crisis hotline in your area.
