Approach
Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the psychological roots of emotional suffering, on unconscious processes as manifested in the client's present behavior. The goals of psychodynamic therapy are self-awareness and the understanding of the influence of the past on present behavior and thought processes.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is effective for a wide range of mental health symptoms, including depression, anxiety, panic, trauma and stress-related physical ailments, obsessive compulsive disorder, substance use disorders, eating disorders, psychosis and personality disorders among others. The benefits of the therapy grow after treatment has ended.
