About me

I'm Mina, a UK based BACP registered integrative relational therapist working online with adults. I specialise in childhood trauma, low self-esteem, and relational patterns — the deep-rooted ways our past shapes how we feel about ourselves and how we relate to others.

What sessions with me are actually like:

Sessions with me are warm, but not passive. I don't sit in silence waiting for you to fill the space. I'm actively engaged — noticing patterns, gently naming what I observe, asking the questions that feel worth sitting with. I reflect back what I hear, including the things that might be harder to hear, because I believe that kind of honest, caring presence is what makes therapy genuinely useful rather than directionless.

Who I typically work with:

I work with adults navigating a wide range of difficulties, though my work has a particular focus on: Childhood trauma and its long-term effects on self-worth, relationships, and emotional regulation Low self-esteem and the inner critic — the harsh, relentless voice that tells you that you're not enough Relational patterns — repeating dynamics in relationships, difficulties with trust or intimacy, and fear of abandonment Anxiety, depression, and the ways these often connect to earlier experience Life transitions and identity — particularly for those navigating significant personal change

If any of this resonates, I'd encourage you to reach out. I offer a 15 min free no obligation consultation.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
CBT: Cognitive behavioural therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Integrative therapy Recommended for those who prefer a flexible approach that combines different therapies to meet their unique needs.
Person-centred approachRecommended for those looking for a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can lead the conversation and explore their feelings at their own pace.

My approach is integrative, which means I don't work from a single fixed model. I draw on a range of well-established frameworks — person-centred, psychodynamic, attachment-based, Transactional Analysis, and CBT — and bring together what is most relevant to you, your history, and what you're working towards.

I'm actively engaged in every session — noticing patterns, naming what I observe, asking the questions that feel worth sitting with. If something important is happening beneath the surface, I'll gently bring it into the room. You remain in control at every stage. You set the pace, you decide what we focus on, and we review regularly to make sure the work continues to feel meaningful and headed somewhere worthwhile.

For trauma and PTSD, I use the specialist Rewind Trauma Technique — a well-evidenced, non-intrusive method that allows distressing memories to be processed without discussing them in detail. This is particularly valuable if you've tried talking about what happened and found that talking hasn't been enough, or if the idea of going back over painful material has kept you from seeking help at all.
