Hi! My name is Gabija (Ga-bee-a), she/her. I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor (MNCPS Accred.). I offer relatable, relational, and down-to-earth therapy for adults.
SPECIALISATION
I work with an awareness of intersectionality, cultural diversity, and individual beliefs. I specialise in family, friendship, and romantic relationships - supporting clients through endings, deepening intimacy, and healing trauma, including intergenerational patterns. I’m neurodivergent-affirming and have worked with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia, as well as visible and invisible disabilities. I have experience working with addiction, self-harm and suicide. Majority of my clients come from diverse and multicultural backgrounds.
I help people move from avoidance, inner chaos, fear, self-doubt, and feeling lost, stuck or disengaged to ease, clarity, liberation, and connection themselves and others.
I use a therapeutic approach called Relational Transactional Analysis. This approach helps you understand your unique story and break free from patterns or narratives that no longer serve you. These may stem from a difficult childhood, past trauma, or life pressures.
I believe in the power of pausing and asking the right questions to go beyond insight and process the feelings that keep you stuck.
I also believe that we discover who we are through relationships. Many have learned that parts of ourselves are unacceptable, shameful, or too much. If we are wounded in relationships, we can also heal through them.
As a therapist, I see mental health as being deeply influenced by the world around us - our social, cultural, and political environments. This perspective is personal to me. As an expat woman living in the UK, I understand the challenges of finding one's voice amidst differences and answering questions like: Who am I? and What do I truly want? This journey also allows me to empathise with the challenges of major life transitions.
