You are here, meaning you probably need a listening ear and a bit of guidance out a dark place. I come to the counselling profession from an engineering and business environment, of which I had become terribly bored of. I am also a trained yoga teacher and I love incorporating aspects of mindfulness in talking therapy. It has been a meaningful, incredible journey that has inspired me to keep anchoring in my truth whenever doubt and uncertainty presented themselves. I am inspired by beauty, honesty, courage and creativity in my life and in my work. I seek harmony and peace for myself and others, in every interaction.
I am a professionally trained Integrative Counsellor, experienced in trauma-work. My basis is in the Rogerian humanistic belief that we all have the answers we are seeking buried deep inside ourselves, and we need the space and time to discover them. I am trained in different therapeutic modalities, Gestalt, Psychodynamic and Deep Brain Reorienting being the most used approaches. My work is deeply inspired by Dr. Tara Brach's mindful self-compassion, Dr. Gabor Matè's Compassionate Inquiry method and Dr. Stephen Porges's Polyvagal Theory. I prioritise the wellbeing of your nervous system with every intervention. We can explore your window of tolerance whilst processing and how to bring yourself back to a healthy, balanced state of relating.
