I am trained to offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Addictions Counselling. I am experienced in helping clients with anxiety, depression, addictions, relationship concerns, trauma, loss and improving self esteem. I work well with clients who find it difficult to let others know how they are feeling or ask for what they want or need.
I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy tools to understand what is happening now, paying attention to thoughts, feelings (physical and emotional) and actions. I use Psychodynamic thinking to explore past experiences and identify ways of thinking, patterns of behaviour, adverse traumatic experiences that have contributed to how we feel and function in the present. I utilise motivational interviewing to identify what changes you might like to make and how this could be achieved.
