A warm, creative, and inclusive psychotherapist with extensive experience in London, committed to providing needs-informed care. I can work with clients in English or Greek.
Hello! I’m Sofia Remountaki (she/her), a Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, and Academic. My journey into the world of therapy began in 2010 in London, where I volunteered with children and young adults with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and Down syndrome. This deeply rewarding experience inspired me to pursue further studies and embark on a second career in Counselling and Psychotherapy—a field I feel profoundly passionate about.
I have extensive clinical experience in London across a variety of settings, including the NHS, charities, and private practice. My expertise includes working with anxiety, depression, self-harm, and providing support for individuals with neurodiversity or disabilities. I have also facilitated groups for adults, adolescents, and professionals on a range of topics to promote understanding and offer support.
Beyond my clinical work, I supervise qualified professionals—such as therapists, counsellors, coaches, and social workers—both individually and in groups within private practice and organisations in London . I also have extensive experience supporting counselling trainees during their studies and currently serve as a visiting lecturer at the University of Roehampton.
My approach is pluralistic and holistic, integrating various therapeutic models—including Humanistic, Psychodynamic, CBT, and Neuroscience—to address each individual’s unique needs. This includes exploring thoughts, feelings, and the somatic aspects of your experience. My foundation in Art Psychotherapy also allows me to incorporate creative tools such as drawing, writing, and sand tray work if you’d like to experiment with these methods—no special skills required. Additionally, my training in child and adolescent therapy has enhanced my ability to work with individuals of all ages, including families, while adding depth to my work with adults.
