Welcome! I’m Craig, a psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor offering therapy in Peckham, South East London and online.
I provide a welcoming, safe space for people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Together we’ll explore the underlying dynamics of your thoughts and feelings, leading to symptom relief and lasting change.
I support clients with a range of concerns, including:
About Me
I’m a down-to-earth, open-minded and warm person. Originally from Scotland, I have lived in multiple countries before settling in London. Having experienced many transitions and cultures, I understand the complexities of change, identity, and belonging. My practice is a welcoming, safe space for people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
My personal journey with psychodynamic therapy has been transformative in many ways—it’s why I became a psychotherapist and the reason I believe so fully in this process. Nature is also a grounding influence for me, reminding me of our cycles of change and renewal, and I aim to bring that same sense of balance and groundedness into my work with clients. I regularly attend conferences and talks to keep up to date on issues around gender, sexuality, race, class, and disability within psychotherapy.
My practice in Peckham
My in-person practice is located within Peckham Levels, an old multi-storey car park that has been converted into a large creative hub. The room is located in the member's area on Level 4. It has step-free access and is wheelchair accessible.

What is Psychodynamic therapy?
Psychodynamic therapy helps clients understand how their past experiences and unconscious patterns influence their current feelings and relationships. It’s all about getting to the root of the problem to create long-lasting change. (www.bacp.co.uk/about-therapy/types-of-therapy/psychodynamic-therapy/)
What to expect in a session with me?
In our initial consultation I will invite you to share what has brought you to therapy. I will ask questions to begin to understand your experiences and needs, but you are always free to answer only what feels comfortable. You are also welcome to ask any questions you have about the therapeutic process with me and what working together might look like. This session is an opportunity for both of us to decide whether we feel comfortable and well-suited to work together. There is no fee for this initial consultation, and no obligation to continue if it doesn’t feel like the right fit.
Subsequent sessions: Each week you will be invited to discuss whatever feels most important to you. This might include your current feelings, a recent experience, a recurring pattern in relationships, or perhaps a dream that has lingered with you. I will listen closely and will ask questions to help deepen our exploration. Over time, by bringing awareness to patterns in your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, we will start to make meaning of what’s going on. This will create movement in how you feel and open space for new ways of navigating relationships and life in general. As we engage in this process, any patterns or issues that may be holding you back will subtly emerge in our interactions. This offers a unique and safe opportunity to explore these dynamics together with care, respect, and compassion.
