I’m an experienced psychotherapist trained in the United Kingdom in intercultural psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Tavistock and Portman Clinic in London and at the University of London. I’m a registered member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and I’m a also a member of the Italian Association of Counseling (AssoCounselling).
I lived for many years in the United Kingdom working in the National Health Service as an adult psychotherapist, in university settings as a student counsellor and also running a private practice (online and in person). I have an extensive experience in providing psychotherapy and counselling to young adults and adults that struggle with:
Depression and anxiety Stress Trauma Addiction Enduring mental health issues Life change Issues related to migrations LGBTQ+
I'm trained in an approach called psychodynamic psychotherapy, which means I'll work with you relationally and in a non-judgemental way to explore whatever you might bring. My work aims at increasing your own self reflective capabilities and giving you better insight into the issues you are experiencing, and how to make change. I have expertise in working with many forms of difference and diversity including issues of race, ethnicity, culture, disability, LGBTQ+ etc., and with students that live abroad and struggle with their mental health. I provide both brief and longer term therapy, and work on-line or face-to-face from my studio in Milan, Italy.
