About me

I am a Medical Doctor specialized in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, offering online therapy for international students and young adults living abroad. Having worked extensively with individuals navigating anxiety, identity challenges, homesickness, academic pressure, and life transitions, I understand how emotionally intense studying in a foreign country can be. My goal is to provide a safe, confidential space where you can process your thoughts and feelings, gain clarity, and feel less alone.

In my clinical work, I integrate different therapeutic approaches depending on your needs, always with a warm, non-judgmental attitude. I am also a certified EMDR therapist, a trauma-focused technique that can be especially helpful if you’re dealing with unresolved past experiences or overwhelming emotions. While I can prescribe medication when necessary, I strongly believe in the power of psychotherapy as a primary tool for healing and personal growth.

Having authored several books and scientific publications on anxiety, somatization, and climate-related emotions, I also support those who feel overwhelmed by uncertainty about the future. Whether you’re feeling anxious, stuck, or simply struggling to adapt, I’m here to support you step by step — with professionalism, care, and a deep respect for your unique path.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and commitment therapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
CBT: Cognitive behavioural therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
EMDRRecommended for those dealing with trauma who want to process painful memories in a structured way to reduce their emotional impact.

My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and integrative. I approach each person with curiosity and respect, aiming to understand not only their symptoms, but also the emotional, relational, and cultural context behind them. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions — instead, I work together with each client to co-create a path that feels meaningful, safe, and sustainable.

I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive strategies, EMDR for trauma, and mind–body integration when needed. At the same time, I pay close attention to emotional language, unspoken feelings, and inner conflicts that may manifest through anxiety, somatic symptoms, or emotional blocks. When appropriate, I incorporate reflections on identity, values, and purpose — especially when clients are facing major transitions or struggling with questions about the future.

I see therapy as a space for connection and transformation: not just about “fixing problems,” but about developing insight, emotional clarity, and a deeper relationship with oneself. I support my clients step by step, adjusting the pace of the work to their needs, and providing tools and presence through both stable periods and moments of crisis.
