Gestalt therapy

Gestalt therapy is an experiential and existential form of psychotherapy that emphasizes personal responsibility and utilizes a rich palette of present-centred and artistic interventions. The focus is on interpersonal, intrapersonal and relational growth.

It understands the human being as a whole, giving meaning and purpose to their own experiences and being capable of awareness and responsibility. Gestalt therapy aims to revive halted or blocked processes through awareness, exploration and experimentation of the new, to see new possibilities, to feel once more, and to use one's life energy to realize one’s goals and satisfy one’s needs. Through dialogue, the client and therapist meet as equals, focusing on the contact and the processes in the “here-and-now”. Gestalt therapy is used in individual and group therapeutic settings.
