Somatic coaching

Somatic coaching is based on the premise that to achieve significant and long-lasting change, insight and change should be embodied.

Following this premise, the body becomes a resource rather than simply a vehicle of the mind. In the session a somatic coach might use techniques like noticing emotions in the body, breath work, physical exercises and movements. Somatic coaching departs from traditional talk therapy by actively incorporating the individual’s physiology into the sessions, so that progress isn’t limited to the client only cognitively gaining knowledge.
