Would Freud Use ChatGPT?

Über dieses Event

A mental health practitioner discussion on AI's place in the therapeutic process.

AI is entering the therapeutic conversation whether we like it or not, from clients quietly asking ChatGPT for advice between sessions to therapists wondering what ethical, effective integration might actually look like. This session opens that conversation up for our therapist community.

Led by clinical psychologist and It's Complicated co-founder Johanne Schwensen, this discussion features Ognjena (Gina) Irsevic, a psychological counsellor and psychotherapist in training based in Rijeka, Croatia, with eight years in practice, and David Rodríguez Argüello, a psychological counsellor based in Berlin with six years of experience spanning private practice.

Ognjena has been closely following how AI is showing up in client behaviour and in the profession itself, while David's current thesis research applies interpretative phenomenological analysis to how people experience disclosing emotional distress with AI, and how we might address this within our sessions.

This is a live room, so bring your questions and your own experiences of AI showing up in your practice. All perspectives are welcome.

If there's enough interest, we're planning to make this a recurring conversation covering various AI in therapy topics.
