Hi! I'm Maria
I work as a psychotherapist, providing a warm and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Different experiences with adults and teenagers have shaped the work I do today and I continually seek out opportunities for further training and education in order to stay updated with the latest advancements in my field. My therapeutic style has been formed based on my education and training courses in Systemic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, as well as through personal and professional experience. My aim is to empower you to uncover insights, develop coping strategies, and build resilience in the face of life's challenges. In therapy, we focus on identifying which situations in our lives are within our control to change and which are not. In the first case, therapy helps in processing the change, adressing the fear and the desire in the situation and taking the necessary steps. In the second case, we work on processing the impact of it on us, identifying our coping strategies that we use, and finally shift our attitude towards them. I work with people who face anxiety, social anxiety, depression, adjustment to life difficulties, relationship issues and people who suffer from migraines.
To make therapy more accessible, I offer low-cost sessions for individuals facing financial difficulties. Please feel free to reach out to discuss a fee that works for you.

As a psychotherapist, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and systemic therapy to provide a comprehensive approach to mental health and well-being. At the beginning, we utilize the CBT framework to identify and understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This often involves working with the CBT table, a structured tool that helps you Identify specific thoughts and beliefs that influence your feelings and actions
Beyond the individual focus, systemic therapy explores the intricate ways we connect with others, recognizing that our relationships and social contexts significantly influence our mental health. In therapy, we delve into:
The dynamics of your current relationships and how they affect your well-being. Patterns of interaction within your family and social circles. The ways in which your early experiences and family of origin shape your current relationships and behaviors.
In our sessions, we bridge the gap between past experiences and present behaviors. We explore how your childhood patterns of thought and behavior influence your current ways of thinking and interacting. We work towards making the unknown known, empowering you to break free from limiting patterns and achieve a more fulfilling and connected life.
