The holistic approach has focus on the individual as a whole, not only their mental health. The treatment, therefore, considers an individual’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing.

It’s an integrative approach that incorporates both traditional and non-traditional interventions to help an individual as a whole. In the session, a therapist might combine traditional talk therapy, breathing exercises, meditation, somatic therapy, etc. The holistic approach can highlight and bring awareness to the connections between different aspects of one’s life and how these influence mental health and wellness in general.
